It’s all about budget! States continue to be challenged by budget short-falls and inefficient systems to support educational programs, particularly in STEM.

HOSP conducted two Needs Assessments (2006-2007) to determine how it could better support the increase hands-on inquiry based programs by state. The Board regularly revises these assessments as new information becomes available about these states. In partnership with the American Chemistry Council, NSTA, and the STEM Education Coalition, these states continue to be places where HOSP will focus and invest resources to build stronger, viable STEM programs with students, teachers and education leadership.
