Research tells us that the need for a scientifically literate population is at its most urgent point since the launch of Sputnik and that the time for reform is now, if we plan to remain a nation that leads the way in innovation and education.

Reform requires change to a system that historically focuses on educating students in Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic.  We are working toward a shift in that system. 

• It begins with learning science (through technology, engineering and math) early in a child’s experience – at the Pre –K level;

• It continues by treating all learners equally; providing innovative options when some learners require different approaches to learning
• It results in outcomes that are tied to student achievement in school and ultimately, in life.
